This is what we mean by "organisational development".

Accreditation - if you'd like to go for the Investors in People standard, we can help you through the process, from gap analysis at the beginning to the final evaluation by the IiP assessor.  There are other types of accreditation and award that we can help with – just ask.

Business planning – for some, the process of planning comes naturally, whilst for others, it can be a chore.  Whatever size of business, having a plan is an essential foundation to growth and professionalism.  We’ll step in to support you as little or as much as you need, whether it be writing a business plan with you, facilitating strategic planning meetings for your senior people or guiding you through the business planning process.

Communication structures – how many of us work for organisations large or small, where communication is cited as being poor?  In which case, your organisation could well benefit from a review of communication, with some sensible recommendations on how, who and when.  This might include employee involvement, attitude surveys or other initiatives, as well as practical structures for meeting agendas and formats.

Core values – these are required by any organisation with a view to the future.  The idea is to formalise and launch a set of values that are shared by everyone in the organisation and to work jointly towards them, thus creating a sense of team, fun and job satisfaction.  Core values are recognised as underpinning successful and effective organisations.

Culture – this starts at the top and once an organisation has defined its culture, it can begin to recruit and manage its people accordingly.  We’ll work through this process with you with the aim of increasing performance, improving motivation and setting your organisation aside from the others.  Having a handle on culture is essential if a business is to prosper and get the best out of its people.

Organisational design – in practical terms this means organisation charts, lines of authority and clear delineation of responsibilities.  For those in the regulated sectors, this is often mandatory.  It also means re-structure, efficiencies and change for improvement – areas that you may well need us for advice and guidance.
